A glass negative used in early cameras. This is a historical 19th century photographic method called Ambrotype. Technique: This is a photographic negative on a glass plate that, when placed against a dark background, appears as a positive image. This method was most common between 1854 and 1965. Each Ambrotype is intended for single use.
